Minor Performances
Kres has the honor of performing at other events, such as the Cleveland International Community day and the 100th Anniversary of the Slovenian National Home. We proudly put on a show wherever we are called in order to entertain every audience.
Past Generations
Folklorna Skupina Kres has been very fortunate to be in existence since 1954. The organization has accomplished a lot in its lifetime and had some of the best dancers around. The course of this dance group has carried it to Slovenia and Toronto.
Veselica - Summer 2016
Kres organizes and plans at least one major performance each year. Summer 2015 showcased a Veselica at Slovenska Pristava. We welcomed the past, present, and future members to join us on stage between each dance. Our performance highlighted two original dances created by our teachers and the executive board. Every member joyfully helped execute this exciting event, and it concluded with a movie of past performances. Last summer we celebrated our 60th anniversary, and we held a performance at Slovenian National Home. This monumental performance allowed us to showcase the wonderful viberance of our culture.
Kres 2016 Biennial Performance at the Slovenian National Home
Kres strives to utilize the Slovenian National Home in order to preserve and celebrate the Slovenian culture. Kres organized a lively performance at the SNH that included a fantastic medley of singing, dancing, and acting from various regions of Slovenia. The stellar dancers, ages 8 through 18, made this fun night truly special and joyous. This performance was a great success and Kres cannot wait for many more to come!
